Hello![edit]

Hi Floris!

As you can see, my university proxy settings have reduced me to Wikipedia after deciding forum bulletin boards are a waste of bandwidth. I can now only view the main site and the downloads of Age of Empires Heaven. Still, I hear the forums were a buzz for our 10th birthday!

Anyway, I was wondering if could just read over an article I've been working for some time: Violin Concerto (Mendelssohn). It's currently in the GA queue, and I hope it will get approved. Could you just tell me what you think.

Apart from that, good to see you again.

Lol, thats not an encyclopedia article, that's an essay. And a pretty good one too. Whoa, it's hard for me to imagine an expert DMer being a classical violinist - shows how easy it is to succumb to prejudice. I did some minor copy-editing. Now on to the vote.
The birthday thread got over a 150 posts in one day, not so bad, not very good either. Still a lot of oldies dropped in, like Gordon Farrell and several people from ES. I even talked SaSa408 aka Sara into posting in it, her first ever post in the VVV I believe. So drop your studies and get on-line again. ;) Floris V 22:08, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I feared as much. I'm not really good at writing encyclopedically...it tends to ramble into an essay! Thanks for copy-editing by the way.
Anyway, I can't really see Age of Empires Heaven surviving a public RfD vote given HeavenGames was removed from Wikipedia. There's little we can argue against that except saying ES named us the official Age of Empires fansite. But that reference has been lost off the ES pages long, long ago.
Still, we can at least be proud of 10 years!

Thanks, my first Good Article! (Just goes to show I'm a far better writer than I am a DMer!) Centy 18:53, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Have you been at AoEH yet? Even Archangel paid a visit. His thread looks a lot like a staff forum thread - all colours are there. Floris V 20:01, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
