Reusing a reference
[edit]Wanting to have a reference used more than once but with just one number is fairly common and is handled using the 'name' option (you give them all the same name and they only get one row in the references). First example I found was in Hartford, Connecticut; see how the reference [1] occurs more than once in the intro. You can use that as an example for the syntax.
I hope that helps. RJFJR (talk) 20:30, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
More
[edit]Here is a reference:
<ref name=popest2/> ***reference message goes here for first reference*** <ref>
Everything with name=popest2 will be the same number for the footnote. Everything that should be a different line has a different name (or no name).
Does that help? RJFJR (talk) 18:26, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello. I have left comments at Wikipedia:Peer review/Neuroplasticity/archive1. Welcome to Wikipedia, by the way. If you need any help with anything, please don't hesitate to ask on my Talk page. — Wackymacs (talk ~ edits) 21:52, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Wikiproject Neuroscience
[edit]Hi Francine, saw your note at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Neuroscience, sorry I didn't see it earlier or I would have responded then. Really all you have to do to participate in a wikiproject is to contribute to the articles it covers, which it looks like you're already doing. Some wikiprojects have a page you can sign up at, e.g. WP:WikiProject Medicine/Participants. You can list your areas of expertise so people can ask you for help if they're working on something in your field. If you ever need any Wikipedia-related help or anything, don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks for getting involved, keep up the good work. Peace, delldot talk 22:04, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
