Musica Obscura[edit]

The problem with the deletion of your articles about Musica Obscura is that you created two articles with the same exact content, and that looked very, very suspicious. Also, new accounts that create articles about one company or institution raise some eyebrows. Please understand that this is how wikipedia deals with people trying to use it for advertising.
I won't argue about the neccesity of having an article about that organization, but please take your time to read the article writing guidelines, and take your time to phrase your contributions so they don't sound like an advertisement. That means that you should point to the facts instead of writing an opinion, amongst other things.
Hope you enjoy your time here, Ivansanchez 09:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ivansanchez - thank you for responding. I tried re-writing the article without using any contact info, but I still feel that it serves pianists to know how to reach him, since he doesn't advertise anywhere on the web. Also, may I still write two articles - "Musica Obscura" and "Musica Obscura Editions"? Thank You! Fujifujawa 05:39, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, looks better now. But please remind that:
* Wikipedia is not a vehicle for adversiting or promotion. Wikipedia is here to be an encyclopedia, not a place full of links so pianists can find classical works.
* You need to cite anything you assert in your contributions. Please do find articles about Musica Obscura Editions from anywhere but its own webpage. Books, magazines, or any other verifiable source. Remember that this is how wikipedia deals with articles with fake information.
* Under any circumstances should you create two pages with the same content. I think that the article should be about Musica Obscura Editions, as the term Musica Obscura may refer just to hard-to-find music, or even a musical group. You should request a rename of the article, and place a disambiguation page on Musica Obscura.
Keep up the good work, Ivansanchez 12:50, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding your comments at the talk page — unfortunately, the issues that you raise are a good reason for no Wikipedia article about this company to exist. You said "I have never met it's founder and president, Mr. John Dowd, but i know that he does not advertise on the web. If you do a google search, you will see that (I would defy you to find any information and background about his comany)." We can have articles about subjects that are covered only in print sources, but unless good, solid print sources exist, a company with no web presence doesn't qualify for an article. If you have such print sources available, you're free to recreate the article, or you can ask me to un-delete it; just go to my talk page, click the edit button, and leave me a message.
