Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Geiyepa, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

A note about a recent edit

[edit]

Hi Geiyepa, I just wanted to let you know that a recent edit of yours to Virtual Woman was removed because you added a citation to a website (Revolvy) that is known as a "Wikipedia mirror". Several websites host Wikipedia content. If you cite the mirror on Wikipedia, you've created "circular referencing" where the Wikipedia article is being used as a reference to itself. Watch out for mirrors in the future! Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:42, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to The Jazz Singer were also undone for referencing a mirror, so please avoid that website as well. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:50, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
