David Koresh spurious edits[edit]

Thank you for your interest in the David Koresh article that I have been referencing. However, I must request that you don't remove referenced statements just because you don't like them. Also, your addition of the asertion "However, both her mother and grandmother believed Jewell was a liar and had completely invented the incident to gain attention" was itself not referenced, and -- bearing in mind the high moral tone you adopted with your rather smug edit summary comment "nope. No evidence/proof. Try again" -- quite a surprise to me, as Kiri Jewell's mother was one of the unfortunates who perished in the blaze at the end of the siege. Should you require "evidence/proof"

If I removed it, it was either spurious itself, or it was revealed as a lie in the various trials/hearings. I didn't see any of the trials themselves, personally, but I did follow all of the congressional hearings, which recapitulated a lot of the information that was revealed during the trial. And yes, had you bothered to watch the hearings yourself, you would have known that Jewell was "outted" both by her mother and grandmother for fabricating the supposed rape for attention.Ernham 21:49, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest you actually read articles before you remove sections of them, then. The section you edited was neither spurious nor revealed as a lie in subsequent hearings. it was also tagged with its citation. Furthermore, I reiterate Kiri Jewell's mother, Sherri, 43, died in the FBI assault at Mount Carmel. If you watched her "out" her daughter at the Congressional hearings, you watched a version that no other mortal has been privvy to. As per the policy on verifiability:

I have removed the unsourced and potentially libelous material regarding Kiri Jewell and her mother and grandmother. As we seem unable to reach agreement about what constitutes verifiability for the article, I have also requested WP:3 Devious Viper 02:26, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

David Koresh[edit]

It looks like the dispute is resolved (at least for now). I haven't done an in depth study of Koresh (and don't desire to, right now), but I'm very interested in seeing such type of articles have a higher quality than most on Wikipedia currently do, so please alert me if there are any more disputes/concerns (no matter how minor) concerning the Koresh related articles. John Carter created the template {{Christian list}}.

There are currently five article being peer reviewed by the peer review team. Please stop by and see if there is any way that you could contribute to those articles.

It has been proposed by John Carter that the various other projects which relate to Christianity ought to all at least tag those articles which fall within their scope. That way, this project would have a better idea which articles do not fall within the specific scope of any of the other related projects. Articles can be "tagged" by placing {{ChristianityWikiProject}} in the articles talk page.
