Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as High school musical 5, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. mhking (talk) 23:30, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Upcoming movies, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Upcoming movies. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. mhking (talk) 23:41, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Its high school musical 4.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 23:54, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! You probably would have seen the numerous piled-up warnings and notices up there by now. Many Wikipedians use a number of automated tools to help us keep Wikipedia in order (including me), but unfortunately the tools can sometimes be de-humanizing. Well, rest assured that this message is actually written by a real human typing right now.

As you might have known by now, Wikipedia has some pretty strict criteria on what articles we have. Our guide to your first article has some useful guidance that you might want to read. In addition, check your idea against what Wikipedia is not before you start writing on them.

Your article on High School Musical 5 (and, BTW, I liked the series), for instance, would fail Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, as we carry only information that are verifiable, not speculations or conjectures. (If you want to get your deleted articles back, you can ask an administrator here.)

Now, I hope the notices and warnings haven't discouraged you too much. I personally think that some of them are unjustified, but it would be improper for me to remove them, since I did not place them. But my first big edit was reverted, too, by an experienced editor who thought it was sneaky vandalism. It takes time to learn the rules, but you can always learn while editing. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. So welcome again, and happy editing! Tim Song (talk) 17:32, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
