The article Michael Murray (entrepreneur) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnotable person, no significant claim of notably, no proper references

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Well, first its not your page.

But to address your question, you need to address the concerns on the tags. RE: Resume - right now the article reads as if it is a resume / the promotional introduction that is given before MM gives a speach. Re-write and reorganize the article so that it is more in line with an encyclopedic biography, which covers all points - good and bad - about the person that can be reliably sourced

RE: Primary sources - most of the content is sourced to primary sources - MM's linked in profile or his companies web page. Provide content that is sourced by coverage in third party reliable sources.

RE: Notability - again that will be addressed when the article shows that the subject of the article has been the focus of non-trivial coverage by those third party reliable sources. Active Banana ( bananaphone 19:45, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

-- OK. I have requested a DELETE PAGE for the wiki page. I will rewrite, add more sources, etc. and submit FIRST for approval so this won't happen again. Also, I did not mean to insinuate I "owned" the wiki page. It was just the wrong word choice. GiniChen (talk) 19:52, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You can create a "sandbox" for your draft article User:GiniChen/MichaelMurray and request other editors to review or help you source it. Then when it is ready for prime time request thatit be moved to "live" article space. Active Banana ( bananaphone 20:53, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see you already have one: User:GiniChen/Test1. Active Banana ( bananaphone 21:07, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Banana,
Would you please look over the updated wiki page: User:GiniChen/Test1 and let me know if these updates are sufficient? I took out some information and circulated the article mostly around philanthropy because I believe the donation amount is notable. I look forward to hear your thoughts. Thanks, ~~GiniChen
i am not seeing any significant coverage in reliable third party sources that would be required for a stand alone article. All of the coverage are sources related to/published by Murray himself, his companies or to the promotional events which he has been involved in. Also, we dont use first names in articles except in the introduction line where it is followed by the last name. So all "Mike did this" and "Mike did that" would need to be changed to "Murry did X" Active Banana (bananaphone 17:09, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
