Urban fantasy article

Hi. Since you've rated fantasy in the past, could you possibly have a quick look at the Urban fantasy article? An issue is being discussed at the bottom of the Talk Page (in the "Examples" section), and I was just hoping to hear another opinion on the current state of the article. Thanks for your time if you can view it. -- James26 (talk) 19:20, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Userspace edit

I changed your last revision in the section "The things that the vandals came up with" (or something like that) to a diff like the rest of them. Happy times.--The Master of Mayhem 11:24, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, I hadn't noticed it. :) Glimmer721 talk 14:41, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Response

In response to your edit-summary here – how could it possibly be helpful to anyone for you to offer up an opinion on a subject you knew nothing about because you deliberately failed to read the linked previous discussion? ╟─TreasuryTagcollectorate─╢ 15:45, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

I'll go and remove my suggestion, I suppose, because clearly no one can be civil about my attempt to improve Wikipedia. The discussion was from May; there are more pictures released now. I was thinking the free image could still be used somewhere else. I didn't want to start a whole big discussion or any drama. I can see other minor ways to improve the article (inconsistancy with formating like quotes over italics for episode title, etc) but I guess I'll steer clear of it because you seem to have full control of the article. Please do not insult me further. Glimmer721 talk 16:29, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
The discussion was from May; there are more pictures released now. This just shows that you have not read the discussion properly. The discussion explains how Wikipedia's non-free content policy makes it absolutely clear that if any free images exist, then no non-free images may be used. False allegations that I am trying to "control the article" may make you feel better, but if you think the decision to use a rather unflattering fan-made photograph rather than a nice glossy promo pic is mine, then you are seriously mistaken. ╟─TreasuryTagFirst Secretary of State─╢ 16:42, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
I know you're not technically "controlling the article", but I feel discouraged to edit. And I know you're not the only one who participated in the discussion. Isn't this over? I promise I won't bother the article or its talk page again. Let's forget about it. Glimmer721 talk 17:59, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Checking In

Hi Glimmer! I was updating my userpage today and realized that I'm still officially your adopter. To be honest, I see you around the project so often I had forgotten that you're my adoptee! Anyway, I believe you've advanced far enough that I can graduate you from the adoption program if you like. You would still be free to ask me questions anytime, but I don't really think you need an adopter anymore. Just let me know. Great work! PrincessofLlyr royal court 01:23, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

I kind of forgot, too! I do believe I'm way more experienced than I am now--so you mean I'veGraduated? :) Glimmer721 talk 01:47, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
The Exemplary Adoptee Barnstar
For learning everything a new editor needs to know, contributing usefully in many aspects of the project, and not involving yourself in vandalism, I identify you as an exemplary adoptee! Thanks for the wonderful experience of being able to help a new editor turn into a strong contributor! PrincessofLlyr royal court 03:28, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Does that answer your question? I look forward to continuing to collaborate with you on the many articles we both watch! And again, still feel free to come to me if you have any question. PrincessofLlyr royal court 03:28, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Okay, thanks a lot! I'm sort of deciding where to start working on The Graveyard Book or Savvy. Glimmer721 talk 21:21, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Hmm. Well, I guess it depends on what you want right now...Graveyard is clearly the better article, making it the closest to GA, but Savvy could use the work more. Choices, choices. Let me know if I can be of any help copyediting, etc. PrincessofLlyr royal court 04:00, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
