Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Budget. Thank you.--SueHay 00:28, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa, there is so much more here than meets the eye. Thanks for all your past help and thanks (in advance) for the additional guidance that I will surely be needing in the future. Go2self21:38, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like you and SueHay have been doing some good collaborative work on Personal budget. You're doing really well for a newbie! ;) OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:44, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
After over a year I think I am starting to get the hang of it. Go2self10:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ignorance shows,

[edit]

Thanks for the heads up. I am new to this (and the rules) and was using the link as a reference to modify a paragraph. Being a little versed on the Personal Budgeting subject (link to a site that I help manage) I felt duty bound to get involved however, once I got started ... well my lack of time limited the additions needed to bring the subject into a reasonably verifiable source. Hope to get back to it at a later date. Go2self 03:56, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, you'll learn the ropes in no time. Thanks for your content contributions! OhNoitsJamie Talk 04:10, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Go2self, welcome to Wikipedia! I see you're doing some good work on Personal budget, but I think you might want to keep in mind that it's important to (1) reference your sources and (2) avoid marketing-style empty jargon. I don't mean to be overly critical -- I think you're adding some good stuff. But you might want to take time to learn the ropes here in Wikipedia. References are very important in articles, and gratuitous external links are removed. I'll do what I can to help you along the way, such as keep an eye on Personal budget and make little corrections as I see them. This might help you pick up on some of the details of how Wiki does stuff. Your friend in Wiki, SueHay 04:14, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sue, Thank you in advance (a rather belated advance?) for whatever support and guidance offerred. I don need all the help that I can get in this process.Go2self 03:56, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Owup has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a dictionary

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I42 (talk) 19:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Owup, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Owup. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. I42 (talk) 21:02, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
