[edit]Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Deep Purple, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 16:45, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- The source says
Deep Purple were formed in Hertford, England in 1968
Please stop changing. - FlightTime (open channel) 16:47, 19 December 2023 (UTC)- As mrntioned in the Talk page, that cited source is just based off what had been writtem on Wikipedia. The band Roundabout which became Deep Purple started in Kensington with Chris Curtis and Jon Lord in 1967. Yes, the Mk1 band lived and rehearsed in Deeves Hall. The MK2 band lineup started in Hanwell Community Centre, plenty of sources but even with these you will change it back. Jerry Bloom who wrote several books about the band mentions in Deep Purple: A matter of Fact that the band forming in Hertford is incorrect. Having contacted him, this was confirmed. Once i get the correct source, i will add it to the page. Goom80 (talk) 16:56, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
Please review WP:OVERLINKING - FlightTime (open channel) 16:20, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Deep Purple, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason.
Again, please review WP:OVERLINKING - FlightTime (open channel) 19:09, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- Please read the link I left, common terms, cities, ect... need not be linked. - FlightTime (open channel) 19:11, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- These edits are not disruptive as they are based on fact and sources cited. The source used for Hertford is by two newspapers that have copied and pasted info taken from Wikipedia. Goom80 (talk) 19:46, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- @FlightTime He should be blocked from editing for spamming the Deep Purple page with unreliable location sources causing it to get locked, still with a bad source. @Goom80 - For shame. 92.14.9.24 (talk) 00:32, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- The source is from an interview with Ritchie Blackmore from 1973, and is written in the books. Its as reliable as going to get. Deep Purple Fan (talk) 01:25, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- @FlightTime Please disregard my last comment. 92.14.9.24 (talk) 01:07, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
