Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. As a member of the Wikipedia community, I would like to remind you to adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy for editors, which it appears you have not followed at Best Buy. Thank you. --Onorem 16:05, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. --Onorem 16:44, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Paul Cyr 23:45, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please Stop? Praytell why? The information I have posted is factually accurate, supported by the slightest effort of research, (which I indicate where, how and even what specific terms to search for). I have posted that there a growing number of consumer complaints regarding Best Buy's customer service policies. This is absolutely true - I don't ask you or anyone to take my word for it - google it yourself. I never offered any opinion as to whether the posts were accurate, simply that they exist - though they are the personal experiences of those people, and clearly represented as such. I find it disingenuous that that the content of the preceding article talks about the positive reviews of the business, but you nix even the mention of negative ones.

It does not serve the purpose of Wikipedia well to allow only that commentary which is deemed "safe", the truth rarely is - and you do a disservice to your readers to attempt to water down any commentary that isn't. There are a number of people who have recorded their experiences with the company - if you wish to present a complete and accurate picture of this topic - this merits mention. To state that consumer commentary regarding the practices of this company exist online is not "personal analysis" nor "commentary" - is is a absolute statement of objective fact. It falls under the category of "critisism", which is why I placed it there. If I had said "Best Buy sucks and you shouldn't buy from them" then your objection would have merit. As the nature of my post dealt with the personal experiences of consumers with direct knowledge of both the company and the practices in question - this is akin to suggesting that a movie has gotten several bad reviews, or an airline has generated consumer complaints. If the purpose of Wikipedia is to act a objective source of information, honesty should compel you to accept the good reviews with the bad - if not then this article is little more than just another Best Buy ad.

I challenge you to please demonstrate that ANYTHING I said was "personal analysis" or "commentary". The reviews of Best Buy exist and are propagating with or without my knowledge, consent or involvement. They existed before I became aware of them, and they continue to exist without my input in any way - to state that they exist and can be found online is an observation of fact - like the sun rising in the morning, and are not the least bit dependent on my point of view. And the stating a fact relevant to the topic would seem to be the purpose of this site.

Regards,

Greg Kelly
