Hey, thanks for the thumbs up, Gruntmaster. The Surfers have been one of my fave bands for more than 20 years, and the state of their Wiki pages was pretty depressing. Hopefully you, me and some other fans can give 'em the pages they deserve.

I definitely plan on doing some work on the main article, too. It'd be a lot easier if sourced info about their early days wasn't so hard to find! Thehaikumaster 15:45, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(reposted from my talk page, as you'll probably check here first): Ze work, it has begun (on the main page, that is). And yeah, I could definitely make use of any interviews, etc. you might have, that'd be great. Better still, you should be able to email me by going to my user page or its talk page, then clicking the "E-mail this user" button in the "Toolbox" menu on the bottom half of the left-hand toolbar. I have my email registered with Wiki, so by clicking that button you can send an email straight to me. Thanks for the help! Thehaikumaster 05:09, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Butthole_Surfers_Jeff_Cabbage.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Butthole_Surfers_Jeff_Cabbage.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Butthole Surfers Jingle Front.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Butthole Surfers Jingle Front.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:39, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GA reassessment of Butthole Surfers

[edit]

I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. I have found some concerns which you can see at Talk:Butthole Surfers/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Jezhotwells (talk) 17:59, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
