Hi, no article can be protected from deletion, since anyone who can deleted can also unprotect. An article can be undeleted - I'll dump the text of the last coherent edit here.
I am not prepared to lift the protection at present, since the article has been deleted seven times, and that includes after an AfD discussion. What I suggest is that you edit the article in the sandbox I've created, make sure it is referenced, and meets these notability guidelines. If you then let me know, I'll see if there is anything constructive I can add, and then review whether the article can be recreated, or referred back to AfD for further consideration. I think it's reasonable to assume that it will have to differ significantly from the AfD version to stand a chance. Hope this helps, Jimfbleak.talk.16:53, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
One preliminary point is that the article as it stands has no independent verifiable references to show notability, and the external links are not actually linked. The format is, for example [http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/t/tottenham_hotspur/live_text/default.stm?refresh Spurs result], which comes out as Spurs result.
