Hello, Happyweekdays, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi. User:Shalor (Wiki Ed) is actually the Wikipedia expert assigned to your class. You should get in touch with her. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:21, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi - I did some editing and posted a new draft in your sandbox. Something I do want to warn you about is that you need to be extremely careful with copying material from outside websites. Even if you cite the material, copying content from other places can still be seen as plagiarism or a copyright violation so you definitely need to make sure that you write material in your own words. Also, make sure that when you're citing material that you create in-line citations. You did this for some, but not all of the content. That said, you had a lot of excellent information in the article and I think that this will make a fine article. I've cleaned up the issues with material taken from elsewhere and added some cites, so this shouldn't be an issue now. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:50, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I saw that you moved the article on Chinese faculty live - I thought that you were working on condensing this information and adding it to the main article on Chinese-Americans? Leave me a message on my talk page and let me know if anything has changed. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 12:04, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
