Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. SHEFFIELDSTEELTALK 15:09, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2010[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Paramore. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. TeapotgeorgeTalk 15:19, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop, this kind of mass addition would need to be discussed with other editors. Rich Farmbrough, 15:33, 16 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]
OK, you seem to have missed that message? I blocked you for 5 minutes, that should give you time to read it. Rich Farmbrough, 15:39, 16 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to T.I.. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. TeapotgeorgeTalk 15:48, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Janet Jackson. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You have been advised to discuss the addition of these multiple links; I don't see that you have. Rodhullandemu 18:44, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Michael Bublé, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. August 2010[edit]

Your addition to Drake (entertainer) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 22:34, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Block for copyright violations[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistent copyright infringement. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below; but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

You cannot copy text from news websites. Please read Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing.

I have, so far, checked just some of your recent edits, and in each case you had copied the exact wording from the referenced articles. I will now check through all of them, and remove the text as appropriate.  Chzz  ►  23:13, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
