Regarding your question about why this was happening to your edits, you have a browser plug-in that is adding in the markup. I have yet to identify exactly which plug-in it is, but I have suspicions that it is some sort of adware/malware plug-in that might be doing it. Please check your plug-ins and see which ones may be causing the problem. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:00, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

okay, Thanks for the reply. I'm not really sure if this is it but I had the editing gadget wikEd turned on which did, well I'm not exactly sure what. But it made the editing section turn grey and all kinds of colours. In my browser, Chrome. I found a weird Extension called click to save which I couldn't identfy and have deleted.Ian Splinter (talk) 19:20, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ha! That is indeed the offending plug-in. Another editor found this discussion about the same issue. Thanks for confirming it. Now I can tell people what to look for. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:27, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to the English Wikipedia. I believe you will find there is more than one convention for frame numbering. The explanation you provided would be a good addition to subject article with an appropriate reference citation, but the existing reference citation is for a different convention used by the United States Navy.Thewellman (talk) 21:28, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
