Information icon Hello, I'm Arjayay. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ikwerre people, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 18:06, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you dearly for your response.
Please i am deeply worried, i am from the Ikwerre ethnic nationality in Rivers state. We as Ikwerre people find it very discouraging and sad that our distinct identity as Ikwerre people is being distorted on the Wikipedia platform.
While the Nigeria constitution clearly recognize us as "Ikwerre ethnic nationality" the Wikipedia article (Ikwerre people) which states that Ikwerre is an 'Igboid' ethnic group is totally wrong and unacceptable to our people. The Nigeria constitution sought to guarantee ethnic equality in government and non-government public establishment.
We are being marginalized on your platform by the majority Igbo ethnic group who are bent on forcing their Igboid Identity on the Ikwerre minority tribe. It is unfortunate and frustrating, Look at how they keep editing our Ikwerre wikipedia pages. This is heartbreaking, we are Ikwerre ethnic group and not Igboid ethnic group.
We have so much love and respect for this platform and we are demanding this humble request from you. We Ikwerre people are not an Igboid ethnic nationality, we are the Ikwerre ethnic nationality different from Igbo. We plead dearly with you that our identity should be respected and we should be clearly addressed as "Ikwerre ethnic group" and not "Igboid ethnic group" on the Wikipedia platform.
Thank you so much for your understanding.! I appreciate! Ikwerrespace (talk) 18:56, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
