User Page

[edit]

Hi. I've removed a userbox from your user page. I've done this because it claimed that you were an administrator, which in fact you are not. Thanks, Rjd0060 02:34, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

With regard to your comments on User talk:Rjd0060: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Rjd0060 04:07, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add the administrator template to your user page again. You are not an administrator and posing as one is not appropriate. Please consider making changes to the encyclopedia rather than only focusing on your user page. Further disruption may result in a block. Metros 04:32, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contrary to what you've said, it's easy to prove you're not an administrator. So please stop. JuJube 04:32, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A friendly suggestion

[edit]

You'll find that some people tend to take things like userboxes very seriously. (I dunno why considering what they are, but even if I did know it wouldn't change the fact that some editors tend to frown upon jokes they see as false claims.) {{User contrib}} For example, saying you have made 100,000 edits looks like just the sort of thing that will get you reported at the admin incident page again.

I'm not here to spoil your fun, merely to give you a heads up that if you are indeed just joking... a lot of people won't get it and will instead give you a pain in the arse. Anynobody 04:45, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As far as the edit count userbox, I don't think it is that big of a deal because it is something that is obviously inaccurate. I don't think people should be claiming to be administrators when they are not. The problem I have with adding the Admin userbox is that it automatically puts you in Category:Wikipedia administrators. If people use that category when they need to contact and administrator, that can be (it is) misleading. - Rjd0060 04:50, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't mean you specifically, Rjd0060 just in general. For those who actually care about userboxes each person has his or her own idea of what is/isn't misleading. While Rjd0060 obviously doesn't have a problem with it (or others), it's not a guarantee someone else won't. Anynobody 04:57, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Block

[edit]

Because of your lack of any edits to any sort of article as well as your incivility and general lack of discourse when it comes to other users, you have been indefinitely blocked.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 05:16, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
