@JackSchmidt: I'm interested in watching all contributions by another user, but I can't figure out how to use this script. I don't see how the button gets created. Is this an unfinished work, or am I missing something? Sondra.kinsey (talk) 11:48, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Sondra.kinsey: The script is from 2008 and worked well back then. Mediawiki and Wikipedia have changed a lot, but I haven't updated the script since they added some new CSS in 2009. Ah, but I see what you are asking: there was a bookmarklet or a greasemonkey type thing that called it with the specific list of nicks to be watched (I believe). It was based off a category watcher. The User/Category APIs were very similar, so it basically just replaced the list of categories with a list of nicks. If you want to write something similar, I'd check if the category watcher is still around. So not unfinished, just unmaintained (and config file stored on the client).
