"Awhile" written together is correct and attested since before the 12th century. "Onstage" written together is correct and attested since about 1925. "Underway" written together is correct, at least as an attributive adjective, and is attested since the 18th century. "Publicly" is an exception; most adjectives ending in "-ic" do form their adverbs in "-ically". +Angr 13:47, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
