Use of schedule in Talk:Channel 4

[edit]

Hi there

I noticed that you added a schedule to the Talk:Channel 4 talk page. Sadly I had to revert the edit you made for the following reasons:

  • If you have taken a schedule from a website, they are copyrighted and the schedule could be in violation of copyright policy.
  • Under schedule 17 of the Broadcasting Act 1990, it is illegal under UK law to publish a schedule for BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1 (including all regions and GMTV) or Channel 4 without paying a royality to Broadcasting Dataservices (BDS). And I quote:

More information on this matter can be found here: Wikipedia talk:Copyright problems#Potential legal issue with UK Radio station schedules within articles.

Apologies for reverting your changes. Please refrain from adding schedules to articles in the future. Thank you. --tgheretford (talk) 00:07, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
