Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your efforts to improve articles on non-league football clubs, but unfortunately what you have been doing is a copyright violation. Organisational logos are non-free images and cannot be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. However, you can upload them to English Wikipedia as long as (a) they are tagged as non-free image and (b) the image is less than 100,000 pixels in size.

To upload an image to English Wikipedia, I recommend the following steps:

  • Click to edit an article
  • Add a link to the image (for images in infoboxes, this means only adding the file name, not using brackets – if you use brackets, you end up with a box around the image like at Dunmow Town F.C.)
  • Click show preview
  • Where the image should be, there will be a red link. Click that link and it will take you to a page to upload the image
  • Select "Logo" from the non-free section of the dropdown list and add a summary similar to the one you see here to the summary section, as well as uploading the image
  • When it is uploaded, go back to the article you want to add it to and add the link

Before sizing the image to 100,000 pixels, I would also strongly recommend you crop the image to remove whitespace around it (which will mean the image size can be maximised) and you use something like Make a PNG transparent to remove the background of the image. I used both these steps when uploading a copyright-compliant version of the Chichester City logo.

Any questions, please let me know. Cheers, Number 57 16:04, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see you are still uploading images in a way that violates copyright despite the message above. Please note that if this continues, you will be blocked from editing. You must comply with Wikipedia's copyright rules. Thank you. Number 57 13:44, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
