Intro to use of article talk pages

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Fractal compression are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. In general, it's best not to comment on other editors in article talk pages, but to go to their own personal talk pages to discuss concerns you may have with them. See also WP:CIVIL. Thank you.[1] --Ronz (talk) 14:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
