From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi James. Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks you for adding to the encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy editing. I recently stumbled on the article you started about the Mental Research Institute. You provided partial references for assertions, but failed to put in page numbers on books or full addresses for webpages. Without these details it is exceedingly difficult for anyone to check the references, or use them to build up the article further. When you have a moment, could you fill in the extra detail? You can find our more about our citation standards at WP:CITE (if you're interested - it is kind of long). Thanks, and happy editing! -- SiobhanHansa 19:04, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Systems psychology[edit]

Hi, I happen to notice that you are kind of expert in the field of psychology and systems theory if I am not mistaken. I designed the Systems psychology article a few weeks ago and I wonder if you could give me some feed back on that article. I already posted this question on some other places with not result. I hope you can. Thank you. -- Mdd (talk) 18:04, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Your feed back is very nice. But I am not an expert in this field and I still have some questions, I can't really answer:
  1. Can all fields the articles mentions: Ecological Systems Theory, Ergonomics, Family systems therapy, Organizational psychology, Perceptual control theory, Process psychology, Psychosynthesis and Systemic therapy be considered as related fields of systems psychology
  2. Can systems psychology be considered a applied psychology or is more of an orientation. This is important for the first sentence but also for the place of systems psychology in the "psychology template"
  3. And an other question is, is a new "Category:Systems psychologists" could be created listing all the names already listed in the article, and the persons you mentioned and even the present Category:Family therapists as a subcategory in the Category:Systems psychologists.
Personally the term "Systems psychologists" seems rather artificial!? Could you give me your opinion on these questions. Thank you. -- Mdd (talk) 19:06, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
