Reward Board: Will Shade
[edit]Thank you for the beautiful article on Will Shade! It is far better than i expected -- absolutely top-flight work. You have earned $15.00 for the creation of the piece and $5.00 for the inclusion of a photo. A Paypal payment of $20.00 will be sent to the account of your choosing as soon as you contact me at my talk page. I am so grateful, you cannot imagine. The only change i will make is to add a link to the term Washtub bass from the term "bullfiddle," as that is the most common name for the same instrument. Catherineyronwode 22:12, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for setting up a Paypal account so i can send you money for the Will Shade page. I need to know the email address to which the money goes so it can then be linked to your bank account. Please post th email addy at my talk page and i will send the bucks post haste. Catherineyronwode 21:29, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

beijing olympics
[edit]Hi. I was just creating a heading for the venues to be at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, using the 2006 page as a guideline, when I saw the map you created for the Turin venues. I've noticed that you are great at mapmaking, and I'd like to know if you'd be interested in creating a map for these games too. A nice map showing the locations of all the venues (just mouse over the yellow dots) is located here. If you could, put the name of the venue, possible a sports symbol, whatever. It'd be your map, and you don't have to do it if you don't care to. Thanks for at least reading this, though. Please send me a message when you can. Regards, → J@red 23:43, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi JP, thanks about the maps, Ill look into the Beijing olympic map when I get a chance. Regards, --Astrokey44 13:20, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response to my request. Again, do it at your own pace, if at all. Cheers. → J@red 19:33, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- I got around to making Image:Beijing 2008 olympic venues.png It shows most of the info (didnt list sports for main venues as they would be too many) --Astrokey44 03:09, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- The map looks great! I appreciate your effort! → JARED (t) 13:22, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
2008 Olympics "boycotts"
[edit]I have made a few entries in the discussion page (at the bottom) regarding this issue. Please read them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.70.148.189 (talk • contribs) 11:03, May 16, 2006
Vandalism / blocking
[edit]I don't think either IP address deserves a block at this point. If User:User talk:68.229.152.169 removes the boycott section anytime within the next 12 hours, he'll have violated 3RR. At that point, I'll ask another admin to block him. Sue Anne 21:19, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
Deletions
[edit]Hi. Please don't remove material in the Summer Olympics page without discussion. ( Preparations section ) as this is the same tactic that we are trying to stop User:User talk:68.229.152.169 from doing. Also, the boycotts are not "potential", as they are currently happening ( boycotting products of the game's sponsors ). Thanks!

I think you made an error
[edit]I rm'd some content from the Ten Commandments article...content that has been removed several times already today. The additions seem valid but, where this article is constantly used as a soapbox, new lengthy edits such as that one have been cleaned when no citations have been included and/or "Original research" seems previlent(as in this case). None of the other editors that have removed the same content have been given vandal warnings. I included very clear reasons in the edit summary. Perhaps when you get the chance you will clear the warning from my talk page for me. I won't bother rv'ing your mistake with regards to the article itself as I do not like edit wars. I'll leave that up to you to do so if you wish. Thank you 216.21.150.44 00:12, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for clearing that for me. VandalProof is a very good tool. I've read the docs on it. Very convenient for rv'ing and issuing warnings all in one swoop. I am only a casual Wikipedian but I see it in use a great deal. BTW, did Master of Puppets do your page for you? It looks very similar to his. Anyways, again...thanks. 216.21.150.44 00:28, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Stole, eh?....good show!. The "Master" has assisted many users with their pages....'tis the reason I asked. As for how I am such a knowledgeable "anon" Wikipedian with so few edits....it's because I am "new" to this IP(temporary work relocation). I am a "seasoned" Wikipedian with a lengthy history from my IP back home. I will give myself a proper handle someday. For now, I am content being anonymous. Good day and good luck with VandalProof. 216.21.150.44 00:59, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Brackets templates.
[edit]Hey! Great job on the bracket templates! I was just trying to see if I could help, so I was looking at the 2004 tennis games and saw that there were two places that had rounds of 64-- making it a 6 round bracket. I was wondering if you had the time and it's not too hard if you could create the Template:6RoundBracket template. Thanks and good work. → J@red 03:04, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! 6 round bracket, eh... I've found the 5 round one typically pushes the limits of screen width, and had pretty much been planning to use two 5-rounds and a separate "final" matchup to do rounds of 64. I'll see what I can do about a 6-rounder though. -- Jonel | Speak 00:01, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
