User talk:Jazzmaster12
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Jazzmaster12! I am Dylan620 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

- Yes, it is me, Dylan, from Language Arts class. --Dylan620 (Home • yadda yadda yadda • Ooooohh!) 16:11, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, I forgot; Mark, I'd like you to please do a favor for me. On my talk page, please leave a list of topics that you enjoy. In return, I'll leave you a list of WikiProjects that deal with the topics you like. Meanwhile, I see that you created the account MP96 (talk · contribs); take my advice, and only use that account for public computers. For that, leave a note on User:MP96 saying that you are using that account on public computers, and add {{User Alternate Acct}} to the page. If you don't, and you use both accounts otherwise, you could get blocked for sockpuppeting. I hope to hear back from you, Mark. I also hope that you like the place and decide to stay, contributing splendidly to your favorite subjects. Feel free to ask me any questions on my talk page. If I don't hear back from you on Wikipedia, I'll remind you in school Monday morning that you have some new messages here. Good luck! Oh, and I got your message, BTW. And in mid-edit! You're welcome. :-) Wait until the other Wikipedia friends that I've gained hear about this! That is OK, right? --Dylan620 (Home • yadda yadda yadda • Ooooohh!) 16:35, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, sorry I forgot, but yes, you can write articles. See WP:CTW, WP:PERFECT, WP:YFA, and WP:Sandbox for more information. Again, good luck! --Dylan620 (Home • yadda yadda yadda • Ooooohh!) 17:47, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

More editing help
[edit]WP:CHEAT helps out a bunch in teaching HTML for contributing to Wikipedia. Also, via HTML, I'm trying to suggest signatures to you and Markinator31. What's your vote on this signature:
Do you like it? --Dylan620 (Home • yadda yadda yadda • Ooooohh!) 19:39, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Happy Thanksgiving!
[edit]Dylan620 (Home • yadda yadda yadda • Ooooohh!) has given you a cookie! Cookies promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. You can spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a cookie, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. {{subst:if||| {{{message}}} ||subst=subst:}} To spread the goodness of cookies, you can add {{subst:Cookie}} to someone's talk page with a friendly message, or eat this cookie on the giver's talk page with {{subst:munch}}!

Adoption
[edit]I would have told you this earlier, but I forgot: I would like to adopt you and Markinator31 so that I can teach you two about Wikipedia's principles. I hope to see you at User:Dylan620/Adoption/Jazzmaster12. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 19:22, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Good news
[edit]I just got confirmation from Thehelpfulone (talk · contribs), and he is willing to be your mentor. That would also make you his first adoptee, BTW. Also, If you are either a firm friend of mine, have signed my autograph book, are a member of WPTC, or are someone I simply like or admire:
Dylan620 Contribs Sign! is wishing you a Merry Christmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow!
Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message.

A cookie to promote WikiLove!
-
A glass of milk, to wash down that cookie, and to promote more WikiLove!
