Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. Again, welcome! —Kf4bdy talk contribs

Vandal fighting

[edit]

Hi JB, glad to see you're helping us fight the evil vandals... When warning blatant vandals, type {{subst: test1}} on their user page for the first vandalism, {{subst: test2}} for the second, then {{subst: test4}}, and then report them at WP:AIV. "Requests for investigation" is for complex problems, not obvious silliness like this. I'm referring to your report on "Corvetteman53", who has only vandalised once. yandman 08:58, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No personal attacks

[edit]

This is due to the comments you left with this edit. Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Roguegeek (talk) 22:59, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Donald Yenko

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Donald Yenko, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. John Reaves 09:40, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:Don't be a Dick. Your poorly written and thinly veiled personal attack hasn't changed my mind. Ebay isn't a source, try and find an article about him somewhere to prove notability. Plenty of people have died in plane crashes, and even more have graves; these are not good sources either. John Reaves 10:07, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for my poor writing because I don't give a rats about it because its 2:00am and I'm wasting my time for a random guy like you. Personal attack? don't be so sensitive, I read Harry Potter books and I love Toyota Priuis, I though you are some cool person, but since you start calling me a "dick", thanks. Wait, FYI consider deleting "Yenko Camaro" or "Yenko Chevrolet" both artice were created some times ago.. Jbrian80 10:14, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't calling you a dick; merely commenting on your behavior. I'm sure your time is very valuable. John Reaves 10:19, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your sarcasm, but your motive on deleting an article baffles me beyond every logic other than "just because I don't know him" Jbrian80 10:22, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll assume you've heard that old saying about assumptions and leave it at that. You should have mentioned the Yenko Camaro and Yenko Cheverolet in the article to begin with. Providing those two links was enough to prove notability to me, I'll remove the tag now. That lists of graves means nothing to me though. It's far too easy to add anybody. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
