Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. It appears you have not followed this policy at Handango. Please always observe our core policies. Thank you.--saxsux 17:17, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your email. Although the information you wrote about Handango may have been true, it was not verifiable. On Wikipedia, articles must be written from a Neutral Point of View and the information must be verifiable. Your article was deleted by User:NawlinWiki because - although the information was factual - it was not written from a neutral point of view, and was deemed to be advertising (see Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion). You're more than welcome to write the article again, as long as you make sure that all the information in it is verified, written from a neutral point of view, and that Handango meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Feel free to get back in touch with me if you need more help. :) --saxsux 08:16, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not advertising; it is an encyclopaedia. I think the fact that you used information only from that company's website means that it is in violation of WP:CSD#G11 ("Pages which exclusively promote some entity and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic"); your article only presented the viewpoint of the company and would need to be rewritten to reflect a neutral point of view. Please bear in mind that none of this was to do with me - I marked your article for improvement, not deletion. If you're upset about your article being deleted (which is understandable, you must have put a lot of effort into it) please take it up with User:NawlinWiki as they deleted it. Thanks --saxsux 12:56, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On reflection, the part of the article that indicated to me that this was corporate advertising was this section:

"InHand is an intelligent, on-device catalog of applications that customers can use to find, download, and buy content, games and graphics simply and securely. InHand is FREE software that you can download onto your mobile device, and it works on multiple platforms. It provides free weather reports, traffic reports, and stock quotes. You can also use InHand to purchase software over the air (OTA) instead of having to download it onto your device from your desktop, which is very convenient."

I'm going to delete that from the article and restore it. Thanks, NawlinWiki 17:28, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
