Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Plymouth Prowler. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia.

To elaborate a bit on the foregoing - the text you want to insert appears designed solely to promote your Prowler owners' organization rather than to contribute useful information to Wikipedia's on-line encyclopedia article about the car. This interpretation is reinforced by your complaints that the text is being removed by a rival organization. As the template above states, Wikipedia is not here for promotion or advertising, and for that reason the text is really not appropriately included. Indeed in that regard, information about any other Prowler organization is equally inappropriate, and that is why I removed it. Please don't keep adding that text back in. It will only be removed, and, if you persist in adding it, sooner or later you will only succeed in having your account blocked. JohnInDC (talk) 21:05, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To answer the question you put on my User page (which I've moved to my Talk page, here) - first, I dispute that a club event five years after the car has been out of production is "integral" to the history of the car. Furthermore your entry as written is manifestly a promotion for your club - the inclusion of the web address, the note about it being the largest Prowler club in existence and the (effective) advertisement about the annual event. All of that is promotional, none of it should be in the text; and when you take all of that out, what you're left with is just a note about a large gathering of Prowler owners - practically a trivia item. And, these problems are compounded by your apparent conflict of interest in adding this material about your own organization. That's my take anyhow. I'm not the last word on this by any means - if you want to get some more eyes on this, add a query to the posting you made at Editor Assistance Requests for additional eyes and perhaps someone else will have a different view. I hope this explanation is helpful; and in any case I meant it about seeking others' opinions, because it's always possible that I've missed the boat.
