Hello
[edit]Hello Jessica. Im glad to hear that you're my partner on this project. Seeing that both of us are from the Bay, we probably have a lot in common already. That's pretty neat that you work for Genentech/Roche, as they are one of the most renowned places to work for in this Industry. In fact, I've met quite a few colleagues of mine that came from the South City site and they are all very experienced and good at what they do. Thus, I know a company like that only hires the best out there, and I can only assume you are one of them. I see you are currently an inspection/packaging tech, as part of a Fill/Finish group maybe?? I know our collaboration with this project will be superb so I'm excited to be working with you.Binhtruong (talk) 22:52, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- Yup, I'm sure we do have something in common coming from the Bay. It's cool that you know some people from Genentech. It is a really nice working environment so I hope to be able to continue working there after graduation but probably in another department. I am in the commercial finish group now. Mind if I ask where you're currently working at? Jessicalau90 (talk) 08:08, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Jessica. If you have a moment please take a quick look at our group talk page. Thanks. -Binhtruong (talk) 06:47, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Binh, I just saw your message on our group page. I'll reply to it right now. Thanks for the reminder. Jessicalau90 (talk) 07:42, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Jessica, I just sent you an email to your jhu student email account. Just a brief description of our summary. Please take a look at it. Thanks.-Binhtruong (talk) 06:23, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Jessica. Hope all is well. I didn't get a chance to thank you for submitting the draft from unit 6. Thank you. It looks like a good format too follow. How would you like to break up the workload for unit8-9. I was thinking I can try to cover the Lead section and structure today. Will try to come around the function section tomorrow. If you can cover the discovery and get started on the function section first, that might work. Let me know how that sounds. Thanks. Binhtruong (talk) 01:05, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi! No problem, I mostly followed what you suggested and typed it out. And your idea sounds good. I'll get started with the discovery and function ASAP. Jessicalau90 (talk) 07:08, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Binh, so I added quite a bit of information on our page. Sorry for the overlap of information that I know you were going to take care of but please feel free to add or change anything that I have written. I know it is very disorganized and it definitely needs a lot of cleaning up in terms of sectioning it better. I will try to get it fixed as soon as I can but if possible, you could organize it a bit better as well, similar to what we had planned in the outline. I had some trouble looking up information on the history/discovery. Everytime I tried to search, I always came up with ribonucleotide reductase information instead. Maybe you could help me out with that? I will continue to work on the page though. Just wanted to give you a little update now. Jessicalau90 (talk) 09:16, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Jessica, No problem about the overlap. Pretty much got what I was planning on posting. I think we are gaining traction so far. Ill try to gather info on the discovery etc and continue working on the structure and function. I will make my updates sometime tonight. Thanks.Binhtruong (talk) 16:26, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- I knocked out the discovery portion. Going to work on the lead section a little more. I think we have improved quite a bit considering its only our first of three drafts. Good job.Binhtruong (talk) 23:41, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Jessica, hope you are doing well and enjoying this fine weather in the Bay Area! Just want to mention that one of the OPs was concerned about plagiarism on our article. I know its a thin line, but lets both try to be more careful and mindful of the wiki rules. I apologize for not contributing much lately for the past week, work has been hectic and I have lost a little focus. I'll try to make more entries to the article sometime within the next few days before our second edit is due. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks. Binhtruong (talk) 23:56, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Jessica, I just want to let you know I made some minor edits on our page. In addition, I am currently working on the biosynthesis and metabolism of ribonucleotides section and will probably add it to the article some time tomorrow. If I get a chance I'll try to add more to the general structure section and go into more detail as mention by our previous two peer editors. In addition, I think we may need to emphasis more on RNR, perhaps in our next edit? Let me know what you think. Thanks. Binhtruong (talk) 08:03, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Binh, sorry I just got to doing this. I'm currently working on the article as well. I saw the various messages/feedback we received, especially the point about plagiarism. I'll definitely be more cautious about it. I'm adding more information on ribonucleotide reductase and making other minor edits to clarify some information as well. I'm also looking for more references. I'll give you more updates as I go along. Thanks for all your help! Jessicalau90 (talk) 08:56, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Binh, I rewrote the sections on structure as well as ribonucleotides are the precursors of deoxyribonucleotides and added a lot more references in there. I'll definitely still be working on the article in the next few days and might add a section or two based on bcheon and aluquette's comments- ribonucleotide analogs and also expanding on the sections that we already have.
