- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Zhou Qiyu, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Qiyu Zhou (chess player). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:00, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Ctvnews
[edit]Hello JiehanZhou,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ctvnews for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Peppy Paneer (talk) 14:28, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Qiyu Zhou article
[edit]Thank you for your edits on the Qiyu Zhou article so far. I notice though that you may be the player's father. While the article has been free of bias so far (though it does need a lot of references to verify the information on it), if that is the case there is potential for bias to come in, so the WikiProject needs to be aware of any conflicts of interests. I'd be grateful if you could clarify things on the Talk:Qiyu Zhou. Jkmaskell (talk) 08:14, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- The information you removed from the Qiyu Zhou article was sourced and accurate. I am now in no doubt that you are the father of the player. I would like you to post on the Qiyu Zhou Talk page explaining your relationship to the player so that we as a WikiProject can take appropriate action. I suggest very strongly that you make no further edits to the article itself, limiting edits to the Talk page suggesting edits that others could make for you. Conflicts of interest undermine the integrity of Wikipedia and I for one take this very seriously. Jkmaskell (talk) 21:39, 30 July 2016 (UTC)
Your deletions on the Qiyu Zhou article have been unhelpful and can be considered vandalism which beyond a certain point can lead to bans. I'm confused as to why you would delete bits from the article as you invested so much time and effort maintaining the article in the past. This is unrelated to my concern about the potential conflict of interest between you and the player, which I still believe and to which I am still waiting for an answer.
