June 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to The Who may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • had not done in years, in the first set, which featured a stellar cast of guest artists, including [[Steve Winwood on "Eyesight To The Blind"], [[Phil Collins as lecherous Uncle Ernie]], [[Billy Idol

I don't like reverting stuff, but The Who has over a million readers a year and contains information on living people, and therefore to maintain the existing article quality (it is current a good article and will hopefully be a featured article at some point), then all edits must take care to cite very good sources, particularly as the current article cites several critically acclaimed biographies in depth. In particular, Pete Townshend interviews are troublesome as I've noticed he does have a tendency to just say what's on his mind, which has a tendency to change. For instance, in 1994 he thought The Who were terrible, but by 2000 he was proclaiming them to be a far better band than Oasis, for instance. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:16, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
