Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

Your nomination at Articles for Creation was a success, and Stan Romanek was created. The article has been assessed as Start-Class, which is recorded on the article's talk page. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see what needs to be done to bring it to the next level. Please continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. Thank you for helping Wikipedia! October 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Stan Romanek has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://ufomedia.blogspot.com/2009/06/stan-romanek-possum-people-part-one.html, http://ufomedia.blogspot.com/2009/06/stan-romanek-possum-people.html (matching the regex rule \bblog(?:cu|fa|harbor|mybrain|post|savy|spot|townhall)?\.com\b). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:15, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Copyright Violations on Multiple Images[edit]

I noticed that the images you added to the article Stan Romanek are all labeled as "own work" and uploaded by you. I also noticed that most of them seem to have been copied from Stan's website. I don't see any mention of a "Joel E. Rowan" on Stan's site, so I'm wondering why these images are labeled as yours, and why you are claiming to be the copyright holder. Can you please explain this apparent discrepancy? If you are not the copyright holder, then the images need to be deleted as copyright infringement. Note the following on Stan's website:

Copyright 2008 All Rights Reserved You must not reproduce, share, or transmit any of the material from this website or from Stan Romanek, including the broadcast, communication, adaptation, distribution, sale, modification, publication, or otherwise any use; including photographs, audio, and/or video exerpts [sic] without prior written consent from StarSeed, LLC or Stan Romanek

Thank you. -- Transity(talkcontribs) 16:39, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Stan Romanek, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stan Romanek (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ScienceApologist (talk) 00:24, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Stan Romanek for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Stan Romanek, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stan Romanek until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. NW (Talk) 04:32, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
