Information icon Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Cell culture—has been undone because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to List of breast cancer cell lines. Wikipedia is not a collection of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links may include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Serols (talk) 14:25, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to HaCaT. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Thank you for your reply. Our company is mentioned in thousands of research publications and is thus notable. In a link on the Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HaCaT) article below Addexbio added a link to their HaCaT cell line. AddexBio is NOT authorized by the establisher (the DKFZ) to sell this cell line but their link is considered "correct"? They have been asked to stop selling the cell line multiple times but they do not stop. Whereas we, CLS, are the official distributor of the HaCaT cell line by the DKFZ our link is being removed? Please remove their link.

Also, why were my edits to "Cell Culture" moderated? I simply added links for cell lines linking to our cell repository – contemporarily only the ATCC or DSMZ (2 other cell repositories doing the exact same thing as we do) are listed in the Wikipedia article. This is pure moderation, I could even suggest that the moderator is from one of the other cell repositories. Why are their cell lines linked, not ours? How can it be allowed that they have direct links to their cell lines but not us? We are as well known as these repositories, established since 20+ years and listed in thousands of scientific publications (notability).
