The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

First tasks

Jordanwallace 1, You have completed most of the tasks.  Partly done You still need to edit your user page and add some wikilinks to articles in Wikipedia, such as University of Southern Indiana. The tutorial, or Wikipedia:Training/For_students, should help you get started. Once you've edited your page your User:Jordanwallace_1 link in signature will change from red to blue. Adopt a journalist project
