Jefferson Davis

[edit]

The right way to make your edits stick is to discuss them on the article talkpage. While you’re free to discuss Wikipedia content elsewhere, it’s most transparent and collaborative to talk it out on-wiki. Acroterion (talk) 06:50, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for introducing me to talk page. I've tried to find the talk page for the article, this seems to be one for me right?

Anyway - I've changed use of words 'slave' and 'owned' to 'enslaved' and 'claimed ownership' etc in order to reflect current preferred usage and editorial practice. This usage is not inaccurate or euphemistic. These edits can be considered minor. They have been repeatedly reverted back on this article. K8mcm (talk) 07:07, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is the talkpage for your account. Talk:Jefferson Davis is where you go to discuss your edits to that article, rather than communicating solely through edit summaries. There’s probably a more central discussion somewhere about general terminology like “slave” and “enslaved”, as usage is changing. Check for discussions as the manual of style: WP:MOS and its talkpage are places to start. ‘Acroterion (talk)' 12:25, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
