there wasn't a wiki stuff section, and i created it with possibly a slightly silly section name, but oh well. re:Chav, yeah, you were probably right about that edit, but it seems *similarly* out of place the article stating that the usage of the word's been since 2004, especially if the word was being used in the 90s, mine was kinda a balancing point, you know? :) Xmoogle 17:58, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

No worries. I agree that it's odd to say the word has been in use since 2004, but then again, the idea is that the word has only been in mainstream media use since 2004; there's a separate section discussing the possible origins and age of the word itself (I think... if not, then there should be!). So, the article is saying that the word has been in widespread use since at least 2004; prior to this, the word for chav seemed to change depending on which part of the country you were in. Realy, we've only ended up with chav as the overall word because some media guy latched onto that word (probably a media guy from the South East).
