I am a co-editor for the Wikipedia:Meetup/Santa Fe/ArtAndFeminism 2016 event. However I shall not be in Santa Fe but in Sun City, Arizona. I will be available to help out on some wikipedia stuff because although I am a bit of a luddite I have also been an editor for over ten years and have seen a lot of what goes on here. Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself in advance,. Also I have started several articles in my user space, which show up on the list of articles needed on the project page as blue links. I have now started publishing those. Please jump into any/all of them and add whatever you can. Particularly lacking are statements, with references, as to why those artists are notable. Otherwise feel free to edit anyway that strikes you, it's what volunteers get to do, and if you need help, let me know.
Also keep in mind that publishing a new article on wikipedia does not require that the article be approved and checked over by anyone else. Often asking for this only lands you in some bureaucratic quicksand that can easily be avoided by not asking. One of the 27 rules that I live my life by is, "If you can't take 'NO' for an answer, don't ask the question." If you have a nice little article about someone you feel is notable, just publish it.
