Algoryx, Phun, et al.[edit]

There are several problems with these articles. First, I haven't been able to find acknowledgment of this company or its products by reliable independent sources; when I searched for Phun 2D Physics, I found the official site and a lot of bloggers who seem to like the program -- but they don't count as reliable sources. Second, given that you're writing about your own company and its products, there are issues with advertising (WP:SPAM) and conflict of interest (WP:COI). Given these issues, I've nominated the articles on Algoryx and its products for deletion, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Algoryx Simulation. You are welcome to participate in that discussion and argue why you feel these articles should be kept here. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:04, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Those sources aren't independent -- the ones from Umea University seem to be from people affiliated with the project, and the webcast is a press release. Again, look at WP:V -- what you need is independent media coverage. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:00, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Phun screenshot.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Phun screenshot.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:43, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Phun Logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
