Hi, I see you added a weblink to a Scientific American article. I'm not sure how the link is applicable to the Wikipedia adhesive article because you can't actually read the S.A. article. As such, I don't think the link should stand. Let me know your thoughts. Wizard191 (talk) 14:42, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The main thing i am supplying are pictures which is why i put it in external links. I could cut out just the pictures to post, but what an extra hassle that would be.

Even the download if someone wants one are only .99 cents for a high resolution scan. You can see i am making no profit from this.

Thanks for your concern and i hope this is ok.Kirchsw (talk) 16:38, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I hope to be able to get funding from somewhere to help offset cost of server. I don't have much money to keep this going for free.Kirchsw (talk) 16:41, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

HEY - thanks a lot moron - You only live a few hours away jerk asshole. I am not doing anything that is way out of line. It is just nit-picky jerks like you. Go get a job at the government where you can waste time professionally.Kirchsw (talk) 17:54, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

Hello... having reviewed your site, unfortunately I'll have to ask that you stop mass-posting links for now. This large-scale linking does not meet the terms of our external links guideline, and as such I have had to remove the links. Please do not take this as a reflection on the quality of your site, as the images are quite interesting from a historical perspective. However, the fact that they are only images (as opposed to actual articles) and that the pages all have "for sale" information on them is problematic. The better approach would be to upload individual images to the site and add them to articles where appropriate.

What I might suggest is that you first seek input from other Wikipedians, especially from those who focus on historical articles. Perhaps there is some way that they can assist in uploading images, or in suggesting how you can reformat the site to make it more acceptable for linking. Please feel free to ask if you have questions about this, or if you require assistance with uploading. Thanks. --Ckatzchatspy 17:16, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I told you i cannot continue to do this for free. Therefore since i am dying of cancer anyway i have no choice but to not share any of this with anyone and will burn these upon my death. Since pictures are not good enough but other sites get to post a ridicules amount of advertising to actually make a profit from you and you are to stupid to realize it or whatever ?

Fine - the whole world which has been sending me lots of emails that even if they get to see only pictures it is still relevant to what they were looking at will have to suck it up without it because of a typical bureaucrat that has nothing better to do. jerk. Do you work for the government ?? - could have fooled me.Kirchsw (talk) 17:47, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Bye the way jerk - Please refer to the NewScientist article about why wiki people do what they do for free. I am sure you will not agree - but ignorant people never do.Kirchsw (talk) 17:52, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I do not understand the need to take a hostile, abusive stance here. I have explained the problem with your posts, I have suggested ways to possibly work around them, and I have even offered to help. --Ckatzchatspy 18:07, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You did not say anything except "i deleted your links" - suggestions to upload pictures or something else that cannot in anyway help me to pay for the internet server does nothing to help. All you do is read your little rule book and presto - be gone user. please let me know how to "work around" paying for an internet server without paying for it ?? I am suppling a valuble resorce and if you don't see it that way i feel sorry for you. HOSTILE - let me see, my life hobby and interest as "interesting from a historical perspective" - whatever you do i am sure is more important - sorry to bother you.Kirchsw (talk) 18:17, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

wiki is not free - it is non profit. Same thing i am doing except i don't have 6 million dollars to run servers and a staff.Kirchsw (talk) 18:35, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
