Hey I found your page tonight. Super awesome work.
Had one question, though, regarding conference membership. I was reading through this link today, and it describes the timeline of membership to be somewhat different. For instance, New England Conference membership was from 1937 to 1943, whereas you have it for the duration of the existence of the conference. Is it possible the New England Conference membership was for football, and they only played baseball in that conference from 37-43? Do you have any citation for the years of membership somewhere? Because I would *love* to see it... been researching this myself! MattGagnon (talk) 08:30, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
- Don't think my eyes have ever lit up as much while reading a source. I've got nothing to override this, thanks for passing it along!! I'll readjust this page and get it live when the semester ends. Kithira (talk) 14:15, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
- Oh that's awesome, I am glad it was helpful! I'm wondering what happened in that period, though... did they revert to independent before and after? Was there another conference not mentioned on this? And from that source, it looks to me like between 1976 to 1981 they were... a member of two conferences? Both the Yankee Conference AND the ECAC?!?!? I went a little nuts last night and tried to put all this together into some kind of a sensible timeline, and this is what I came up with. Ended up having to research the history of the college world series a little bit too... It is now my mission in life to fill in those gaps I still have in there. If you come across anything let me know!! MattGagnon (talk) 19:22, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
- In any other situation, membership in two conferences would seem ridiculous, but when it comes to ECAC "membership," anything is possible. I honestly don't think there's a more confusing organization in the world of sports. I could see something where Maine played in the Yankee Conference but was eligible for the ECAC Tournament in those years, but I'd have to take a closer look at the sources than I've got time for now. ... In any case, I'm gonna get the article live later this evening, history section or no, so that you can work on it. I'll try to finish up the history section over Thanksgiving Break, but you should totally have a crack at that or anything else you'd like to improve about the page.
