Apr-2011: Rexer DM survey notability dispute

Hello. I am disputing the notability tag added by User:Melcombe to the Rexer's Annual Data Miner Survey article. Do you know of any other independent, reliable sources that demonstrate the topic's notability? Thanks. --Luke145 (talk) 20:21, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Luke145, Thank you for the note. I'm sorry, I've been pretty inactive on wikipedia, and didn't see your note (I know - wow, I'm 18 months late). I was unaware that someone had created a Rexer's Annual Data Miner Survey wikipedia entry. I saw it a few days ago, and I started updating it and then adding citations of independent sources to establish notability. I'm a novice wiki-author, but I'm looking to do more. I've fixed broken links and added citations to a variety of pages in the last few days. MrOllie's comments/coaching has been helpful, but please help me out. What other things can I do, or what things should I do differently to help contribute better to wikipedia?Karl (talk) 23:19, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Apr-2011: Rexer

I have removed the Rexer analytics information from the page. That page is for the car components company based in Estonia - any information about other Rexlers should be on separate pages.

It may be that there is enough notability to have one page cover Mr Rexer, Rexer Analytics and Rexer's Annual Data mining survey. It would be best to work out which of the three is most notable and then use that one as the main text with the others added onto it. After a quick 30 min look around the topics I think it would be best to establish notability in the order of: K Rexer', Rexer Analytical, Annual Survey.

If no suitable notability can be found then unfortunately the articles will not stand. Chaosdruid (talk) 18:34, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
