January 2017[edit]

Hi, re your query on my talk page, and specifically these changes, it is not appropriate for us to add editorials and our general opinions to articles, as you have done in the linked edit. Content like this, where you 'set the record straight' about what you think Jallikattu is or isn't, is not suitable for inclusion. "Jallikattu is not a bull fight by any means, it is actually a bull holding or bull hugging festival..." That's purely an opinion. From the bull's perspective, it might feel like a fight regardless of what you think or how you choose to downplay it.

Similarly the unsourced content about training: "The calves that are reared to become bulls are fed a rich nutritious diet so that they develop into strong and sturdy animals..." pushes the limit of neutrality, since it sounds like you are actively painting a picture that the bulls are treated very well. This may or may not be the case, but since we present a neutral point of view, *both* sides of the debate need to be presented properly.

So if PETA and other opponents are saying that the animals are sometimes force fed alcohol as part of their training, that needs to be presented. If you're not willing to provide both perspectives, that's going to be problematic. Please open a discussion on the article's talk page if you wish for this content to be reconsidered. Until then, it has been removed. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:58, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I have a question about where you got some of the content you added at Jallikattu. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:38, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
