Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. SpencerT•C 10:36, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, KubeSphere. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. The page Draft:KubeSphere has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This article needs to be rewritten from scratch from reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not an outlet for promotion, advocacy, or advertising.

Information on content and common pitfalls to avoid can be located here and here, however be aware that this is not an exhaustive list. Pages can sometimes avoid these pitfalls and still be seen as an ad copy or unambiguously promotional, particularly if the editor appears to be a paid editor or has some other conflict of interest. Please review these policies, including the FAQ page on organizations to determine if this applies to you.

Common mistakes or beliefs about promotional editing center on the assumption that promotional editing only applies to promotion for commercial gain. Some tags or G11 nominations are met with confusion by creators, particularly if they spend much time reading or creating corporate documents, mission/vision statements, or similar copy for their organization. The frequent exposure to promotional tone may make it difficult to notice non-neutral phrases or styles, as the editor has grown accustomed to seeing it as everyday writing or speech. This can be difficult, but not impossible, to unlearn.

Another common assumption is that the prohibition against promotional editing applies only to businesses or organizations. Anything can be promoted, including a person, a non-commercial organization, a point of view, etc. and CV/resumé's are by their nature promotional.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see this page on citing sources. This page has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{Reflist}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there. New article creation can be difficult, but the Article Wizard can help you. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems. You can also ask for help at the TEAHOUSE and on IRC chat.

New article creation can be difficult and frustrating. Sometimes it is better to first gain experience by fixing and helping maintain existing articles. Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask contains links to things that badly need doing, if you are so inclined.

Requested username:

Request reason:

After carefully reading the block notification and related guidelines, I understand that my account has been blocked due to the following reasons: 1. My username represents a named organization; 2. I didn’t disclose a conflict of interest when contributing to a page. To resolve the preceding issues and better comply with Wikipedia guidelines and regulations, I’m writing this statement to send requests to rename my account and declare that I’ve fully read related Wikipedia community rules and guidelines. For future editing, if any paid contributions, I’ll disclose a conflict of interest following the regulations on the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure page. Thanks for your notification, and I would be grateful if my request could be considered. KubeSphere (talk) 07:19, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I have the admin tools and I haven't read every single policy and guideline- there are more than you probably think. We don't need you to know every guideline, just the ones relevant to your editing. You'll need to disclose your paid relationship on this page, and tell us what topics you intend to edit about as you won't be unblocked to, in the short term, contribute about your company. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:21, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Requested username:

Request reason:

The account KubeSphere has been indefinitely blocked because of the username and requested to have it changed on its talk page. The account KubeSphere is listed on the “Category:Requests for username changes when blocked” page. This text is written to request to unblock the account so that the account can put a request on "Wikipedia:Changing username". This account has disclosed paid relationship on the top of the page and want to send a request to change the username to CalvinYuu, which represents an individual instead of a company or an organization. This account is interested in cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization, and will be adding or editing neutral content about these topics. Thanks.

Decline reason:

The new username is fine, but you have clearly not understood the reasons for your block. The username was just one. Failure to disclose a conflict of interest wasn't a reason, but could have been. The main reason for your block is that you were attempting to use Wikipedia as a publicity platform, which is prohibited. Because you have not recognized this, and haven't indicated whether you intend to continue that activity, I have no choice but to decline this appeal because it doesn't fully address the reasons for the block. ~Anachronist (talk) 04:59, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
