User talk:Laramuellner
I am interested in covering and editing social initiatives on wikipedia.
I cover social entrepreneurs, global development initiatives and political, sociological events, specially across Indo-German domain.
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Laramuellner. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GermanJoe (talk) 14:25, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Editing with a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello Laramuellner, thank you for disclosing your conflict of interest regarding Ankit Sharma (entrepreneur). However, moving the draft into mainspace without proper review and even force-indexing it for internet searching is absolutely inappropriate. I will revert these changes or ask an admin to do so.
A second point: the restrictions for editing with a conflict of interest do not only apply to the disclosed main article, but to all affected articles containing related content about the topic. You should not edit closely-related articles such as Grameen Foundation and Mifos Initiative, but are of course welcome to post suggestions at the articles' respective talkpages.
If you have further questions, please feel free to ask directly here on this talkpage, I'll keep this page watchlisted for a few days and would be glad to help to clarify possible misunderstandings. GermanJoe (talk) 14:38, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hello GermanJoe, I understand your concern. You can review the article. Regarding this article, I have been on standby but no contesting and reviewal has taken place. That the other pages(you mentioned) have been lying dormant. made me pass the talk page interaction as I am aware about the subjects. 15:43, 4 March 2019 (CET)
- No worries, misunderstandings can happen. However, please do not edit any affected articles yourself - aside from drafts that will be reviewed by an uninvolved editor (talkpage suggestions are welcome though), and please wait for an uninvolved review of your draft by an AfC volunteer. I realize this will take some time, but these procedures are important to avoid promotional editing on Wikipedia. Thank you for your consideration and patience. March 2020
[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Mifos Initiative. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 15:11, 13 March 2020 (UTC) The problem here is that it is not a promotional information and infant a validated, qualified data. The 501 c3 status is an Internal Revenue code status of an Organisation.
