Metro Rail articles

Hello, is there/has there been any central discussion on these page moves? I feel like A Line (Blue) (Los Angeles Metro) is being too precise. We have the "Los Angeles Metro" because A and Blue are common names for lines, but to use both names + Los Angeles Metro? hbdragon88 (talk) 03:03, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi bdragon88, you can see discussion on a similar move proposal here. This latest move, while not perfect, seems to satisfy all of the objections raised. I see your point that it's too precise and should probably be just the line name as there is no need for disambiguation. However, considering it's an interim name and the color will be removed soon—thereby again necessitating disambiguation—it's a judgement call. I'm sure there are those who could discuss, so perhaps open a topic on LA Metro's main page? Or consider that while imperfect, it does work and I haven't seen any strong objection. I leave it up to you to advance any change as I don't have a strong opinion either way. Lexlex (talk) 07:44, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
On second thought, I completely agree even if it is temporary. The system disambiguation with these names is superfluous and could probably be removed without objection. As the pages names sans system name are not being used, what do you think is the best way forward?Lexlex (talk) 08:08, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
I'd say probably an open-ended WP:RM, cross-post it to a few other places like the village pump and some relevant Wikiprojects. hbdragon88 (talk) 03:44, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
