Discretionary Sanctions Notice

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the topics of Kurds and Kurdistan, broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Here your source to double check

[edit]

Here your book to double check. Interesting book, but it doesn't mention the Arab belt for which the source was used for. Might be easier next time to have the book accessible online.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 11:21, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you self revert. You have been warned about the DS above. What you want to have included is WP:OR.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 19:11, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly do not understand how to write articles and I provided TWO sources for HISTORICAL context to the region. You cannot just talk about the Arab belt without providing any historical context to it. I did exactly that, I ADDED some historical context to the article, which shows the Kurds in the Arab belt region only arrived there in 1920s and it is historically Arab land. context is important otherwise your articles are misleading. If you remove it, I'm going to write it again. LieDetectionandCorrection (talk) 19:46, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but find a source for it. See comment above. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 02:29, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Shihab family

[edit]

Hello. I saw your edit summary to the page Shihab dynasty after you restored the unsourced information. Regarding the content of your edit, it does not matter if the Shihabs of Lebanon and the individual with the Shihab family name in Aleppo are actually related or not. You need a source which explicitly states this connection. Barring that, the information will be removed. If you, as you mention in your edit summary, intend to reinsert it, you will be ultimately be blocked for edit warring and if you use other means to edit, the page will be protected from new or unregistered users. If you intend to edit the site regularly, I recommend choosing a different way of doing things. The current method you are using will not work. --Al Ameer (talk) 19:40, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
