Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dimapur, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kuki (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:25, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Tamenglong into Tamenglong district. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 11:49, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! -MPGuy2824 (talk) 06:13, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions

[edit]
  1. You might be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Manipur and/or Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian politics. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 07:37, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  2. While creating articles please also add the relevant wikiprojects to the article talk page. I've done this for a few of the manipuri politicians, so now you know what to do. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 08:10, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  3. After you create/update an article about a politician, you can use the same references to add the relevant information on the constituency article as well. (e.g. Tapi Assembly constituency) -MPGuy2824 (talk) 06:09, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Loingao

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username MPGuy2824, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Ijirangbe Jeme, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Revert

[edit]

Hello! I saw you are reverting some of the edits done by previous editors, including bots at Rongmei Naga people and Rongmei Naga. Before reverting other's edits, you could invite them for a discussion if their edits aren't vandalism. The article about "Rongmei people" and "Inpui people" are merged into "Kabui people" because those previous two articles didn't satisfy WP:GNG. If you want to expand the articles about them, you are welcome to do so. For that, before reverting others' edits, you can create a draft, for example Draft:Rongmei people and submit it to the reviewers when you complete creating it. Thanks! --Haoreima (talk) 11:41, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kindly create a new article for Kabui people instead of merging two different articles viz "Rongmei People" and "Inpui Naga" into it. The article Kabui people is copy pasted without proper edit from the above mentioned two articles. Loingao (talk) 11:58, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will create a new article. Haoreima (talk) 12:00, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Kabui people and Rongmei people still look like duplicate articles. I cannot follow based on edit descriptions what happened here. Would someone with subject knowledge be able to either distinguish between the two topics or carry out a proper merge and redirect? Thanks. Turtlecrown (talk) 15:20, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A attempt was made to create a new page of Kabui people by merging 2 articles by copying contents from the page Rongmei people and Inpui people. The new page is poorly edited and plagiarism from the 2 pages is clearly visible. The Kabui people page should not have been merged with either Rongmei people or Inpui people instead should have been 3 separate page. Kabui is a term which in colonial period refers to present day Rongmei people and Inpui people. Loingao (talk) 10:08, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Kabui people, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you.
