Loweline (band)

Thank you for your message - I deleted the article in question because it was about a band and the article didn't indicate the significance of the band - it therefore fell within the criteria for speedy deletion set out here. I'm on my public account at the moment, so can't look back at the article to tell you precisely where I felt it fell short, but if you think that the article shouldn't have been deleted then you can either wait until I'm back on my admin account a little later in the day, when I can look at the article and give you more specifics, or alternatively you can take it up at WP:Deletion review where you can ask for another administrator to review the decision to delete and say whether they think it was the correct one or not. Let me know which you'd like to do.

Incidentally, the presence of the {{hangon}} alone doesn't exempt the article from speedy deletion if the reviewing administrator feels that the article should still be speedily deleted under one of the relevant criteria. Placing the hangon tag should go hand in hand with placing your comments on the talk page of the article concerned explaining why you think the article should be kept, although I appreciate that the sequence of events means that an article can be tagged for speedy deletion and speedily deleted in quite a short space of time.

To avoid this sort of thing happening in the future, it is often a good idea to start an article in a sandbox - yours would be at User:Lowlinemanc/Sandbox where you can work on the article then copy it over to the main encyclopaedia space when it's fully formed. _{The public face of GB}^T/C 08:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
