From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I work for Vladimir Jones, an advertising and marketing agency in Denver, Colo. Our agency represents many clients in a variety of industries, including the utility company Xcel Energy. While we do not intend to directly edit our clients’ Wikipedia entries, we aim to serve as a resource by helping to provide the most factual and complete information while utilizing third-party citations.

We plan to address the current note on the Xcel Energy Wikipedia article that states, “This article appears to be written like an advertisement. Please help improve it by rewriting promotional content from a neutral point of view and removing any inappropriate external links. (June 2009)” I will be making edits and updates to refresh this content. I will be strictly adhering to Wikipedia requirements that the entry be neutral, free of marketing and advertorial content, and have third-party citations needed for verification of all information added to the entry. I welcome any input, edits, and feedback from the Wikipedia community in regards to the Xcel Energy page.

We are aware of the guidelines for editing pages and intend to follow all of Wikipedia's guidelines, including those on WP:COI, WP:RS, WP:V and WP:NPOV, very closely. We will follow best practices in this area by asking for help, committing to neutral language, and having other editors review any potentially controversial edits.
